Montgomery County's Interfaith Celebration

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

We are privileged to be in a holiday season including Diwali, Advent, Hanukkah, Gita Jayanti, Christmas, Solstice, Kwanza and New Year. It’s a time for celebrating light overcoming the darkness, hope overcoming despair and love overcoming all that divides us. It’s a time for experiencing a peace the world cannot give us, and it’s for giving.

Our mail boxes are filled with requests from nonprofits deserving more support this year. My wife and I have asked our loved ones to please give to a charity rather than to us. There are a myriad choices and I’m adding over a hundred more through this website.

Nothing has inspired me more during the past ten months than witnessing the high spirited response of thousands of faith communities, residents, business, nonprofit, and government partners responding to an estimated 50% increase in food insecurity. The Montgomery County Food Council has graciously and effectively led an unequaled level of collaboration that you may support now and want to join in the New Year.

In opening the website you will discover over a hundred of their partners. You may pick by location or name and check out their websites to learn more. Without exception, you will find kindred spirits.

Hearty best wishes for a blessed and joyous holiday!

In love,

Kasey
