Important information:
- COVID-19
vaccine —
We’re encouraged by the continued distribution of 2 safe and
effective vaccines to help control the COVID-19 pandemic. Here’s
where we currently are with the distribution process:
- Limited
supplies —
Due to limited availability, the vaccine is being given to
health care workers and residents of skilled nursing
facilities, the first 2 groups prioritized by federal and state
health officials.
- Additional
prioritized groups —
As vaccine supplies increase over the next few weeks, we’ll
provide the vaccine to additional prioritized groups, according
to federal and state guidelines. The groups of people eligible
to receive the vaccine will continue to expand as more vaccine
becomes available.
For more information on state vaccination priorities,
and how people across our communities can get the vaccine when they
meet state criteria, visit kp.org/covidvaccine.
Call our 24/7 recorded message hotline at 1‑855‑550‑0951
(available in English and Spanish) for regular updates.
- Getting
kids of all ages to wear masks — Although children
are less likely than adults to get severely ill from COVID-19,
they’re still at risk of getting and spreading the virus.
Wearing a face mask is one of the most effective ways to help
reduce the spread. Check out a Kaiser Permanente pediatrician’s tips for getting
kids of all ages to wear a mask.
- Stay
safe while interacting with people you don’t live with — You may not be able
to avoid in-person interactions entirely, but you can still reduce your chances
of getting or spreading COVID-19. Remember to:
- Wear
a mask over your mouth and nose.
- Gather
outside to avoid sharing air. If you have to gather indoors, be
sure to open windows, turn on fans, and use air purifiers.
- Limit
your time spent with others, and always keep a distance of 6
feet or more.
- Stay
active from the comfort of your own home — As a member, you
have access to many fitness resources that can help make it
easier to exercise at home. That includes over 4,000 on-demand
video workouts at no cost, plus reduced rates on livestream and
in-person fitness classes. To get started, sign in at kp.org/exercise.

Remember, we’re in this together. Since the initial
supply of COVID vaccines is limited, all of us must continue to wear
a mask, wash our hands, stay 6 feet apart, and get a flu shot. With
your help, we can reduce the spread of COVID-19 and the flu.
