Virtual Compassion Fatigue Training

Compassion Fatigue Training provides immediate training for leadership, as well as health care
workers and volunteers, to manage the impact of regularly helping people experiencing traumatic stress. The goal of this training is to help workers prevent compassion fatigue, vicarious trauma and post-traumatic stress.

Because caregivers need care too!

Trauma-Informed Compassion Fatigue Resilience - Health Care Workers.
This 6-hour training, offered in two 3-hours sessions, is designed to meet the unique experiences your multidisciplinary services providers have with compassion fatigue, vicarious trauma and acute stress disorder.

This training provides health care workers and volunteers with the knowledge to understand the impact of ongoing exposure to trauma in the workplace, enabling them to recognize the signs of burnout before it happens. Participants are provided practical, trauma-informed strategies that they can begin using immediately, both personally and professionally, to build resilience and manage the impact of collective trauma and grief.

In addition, due to the high level of exposure to trauma experienced during stressful periods of change, this workshop will include strategies to prevent and mitigate the impact of secondary traumatic stress in order to reduce the chance of developing Acute Stress Disorder or Post-traumatic Stress Disorder. Participants will leave with a framework and strategies to address the impacts of both cumulative and acute traumatic stress and an awareness of when they need to seek additional supports for their mental health. This experiential workshop provides participants with time for practicing strategies, individual/group exercises and questions.

This training includes:
6-Hour Custom Workshop in two 3-hour sessions.
The sessions are conducted virtually.
Participants will have access to replay for 30 days

Fostering Resilience Through Leadership in Trauma Exposed Workplaces - Leadership
This 6-hour custom workshop, offered in two 3-hours sessions, is designed to address the unique dynamics of your organization’s experience with compassion fatigue and traumatic stress in the workplace.

This first half (3 hours) of this training provides managers and clinical supervisors with the knowledge to understand the impact of chronic exposure to trauma in the workplace, enabling leadership to recognize the signs of burnout before it happens. This includes a review of the unique challenges for leaders as well as organizational protective factors for fostering resilience.

The second half of this workshop (3 hours) has a greater focus on clinical supervision in trauma exposed workplaces and includes a three-part supervision format to address administrative (procedural), client care (professional) and staff support (emotional wellness) issues in supervision. Supervisors will leave with a format to address all three areas within a culture of psychological health and wellness.

This training includes:
6-Hour Custom Workshop in two 3-hour sessions.
The sessions are conducted virtually.
Participants will have access to replay for 30 days

Each training is two 3-hour sessions. Trainings are virtual.
Participants will have access to replay for 30 days, but please plan to attend the training at the scheduled time. CEUs pending.
