Keynote speaker, Peter Edelman, will walk us through his new book Not a Crime to Be Poor, in which he examines the socio-political influences that have led to the criminalization of poverty.
Following discussions will examine the challenges people living in poverty face and existing cross-sector interventions, including PCC’s own Food is Medicine program.

When:
October 15th, 9am - 1pm
Where: One Veterans Place, Silver Spring, MD 20910

This session will explore the role quality, affordable housing plays in the health of residents and look at ways to form strategic links between housing and health systems.
