National Alliance on Mental Illness announces it new initiative "NAMI in the Lobby" (NITL).
This is a new pilot program that launched in July at Shady Grove Hospital.
NAMI Montgomery County volunteers will be available every Wednesday from 5pm to 7pm and Saturday from 1pm to 3pm to assist families and caregivers in the emergency department with support and mental health resources.
NAMI in the Lobby seeks to offer much needed support from those who know what caregivers are going through and can offer guidance during such delicate situations.
