Total Body Strength Workout for Seniors
|
Strength training has incredible
benefits for everyone and especially for seniors. This total body
workout is a great way for older adults to get started with
strength training. Having a strong body helps you avoid injuries,
falls, pain and other issues associated with getting older. The
exercises taught in this class will focus on building total body
strength with an emphasis on improving balance stability, and
flexibility. We will use weights and a chair. If you don't own
weights you can use a water bottle, a can or anything else you
have at home. All exercises can be done standing or sitting. Each
class consists of an aerobic warm up, strength work, balance and
flexibility. We will end with a relaxing stretch and cool down.
No matter how old you are, exercise can improve the quality of
your life.
