Black Community About Importance of Getting COVID-19 Vaccine - Monday, Feb. 22, 7pm - 8:30 pm - ONLINE

The town hall meeting will be joined by Travis Gayles, the County health officer; Raymond Crowell, the County’s director of the Department of Health and Human Services; Nicole Verdun of the U.S. Foodand Drug Administration; and Tiffany Ward, the County’s chief equity officer.

The COVID-19 health crisis has impacted a disproportionate number of people in the County, and throughout the nation, in minority communities. Some members of minority communities also have expressed reluctance to get vaccines when they are available.

The community conversation will explain the safety of the vaccine and why it is important for all people to get vaccines.

Community members will be able to ask questions during the town hall meeting.
