CHEVY CHASE AT HOME   -    Boredom Busters #61

MORE FUN TO KEEP YOU ENGAGED THIS WEEK!

Reminder: Our Wednesday Boredom Busters has moved to a biweekly schedule to allow our wonderful volunteers respite. We are reprising some fun editions from our collection, with a new addition or two.

Explore local artists' work
Time Sensitive: See an online exhibit of artwork by three local glass artists. Margaret Halpin, Merrilee Harrigan, and Katherine Siena display a variety of kiln-formed glass work in their exhibit, “Meditations in Glass”. The website will remain online through Aug. 29 at nationalchurch.org/art. Presented by the Arts Council of National United Methodist Church, 3401 Nebraska Ave, N.W., D.C.

Time Sensitive: View The Phillips Collection's juried invitational exhibit, Inside Outside, Upside Down, from home and vote for your favorites by August 15, 2021! This exhibit features 64 artists from the D.C. area, including four from Chevy Chase and Bethesda, and explores the turmoil, strength, and resiliency of the human spirit in the face of the past year’s global COVID-19 pandemic and social upheaval. (The exhibit is on view in person at the Phillips Collection as well through Sept. 12).

The Phillips also has an online exhibit of art by local students from the past year here, online through fall.
