National Caregiver Month is in November - JOIN US FOR SPECIAL PROGRAMS

National Family Caregivers Month – celebrated each November is a time to recognize and honor (unpaid) family/friend caregivers across the country. 

Celebrating Family Caregivers during NFC month enables all of us to:

1. Raise awareness of family caregiver issues
2. Celebrate the efforts of family caregivers
3. Educate family caregivers about self-identification
4. Increase support for family caregivers

In Montgomery County we are planning a series of informative virtual conversations with a range of public-private providers that a specialists in caregiver support. These will include:

• LGBTQIA+ Family of Choice and Caregiving
• Montgomery County's Age Friendly Home & Community Based Services
• Montgomery County's Dementia Friendly Initiative and Caregiver Resources
• Caring for a Loved One with Alzheimer's
• Caregiver Supports 101 - learn about the County's resources
• Support for Caregivers to Maintain their Health and Wellbeing

These conversations will be available on the County's Engage@HOME YouTube channel and Podcast series.
