See Me - The Smithsonian's program for caregivers and loved ones with Dementia

See Me at the Smithsonian

While there is no fee, registration is required for this program.


The experience of looking closely allows us to appreciate beauty, exchange ideas, share memories, or simply respond to the work in front of us. The Smithsonian invites individuals living with dementia, together with their care-partner, to join us for special tours highlighting the joy of close-looking.

Each month’s interactive and multisensory tour will feature a different theme:

The Freer Gallery of Art and Arthur M. Sackler Gallery together form the Smithsonian's national museums of Asian art. Together these two galleries preserve and share the treasures of Asia, making inspiring connections between Asia, America, and the world.
