County's National Caregiver Month - Outreach Events - FREE

November is National Caregiver Month and the County offers six (6) programs to support, inspire
and connect caregivers to valuable resources.

This year we offer a rich array of programs include:

Tuesday November 5, 2.30pm-4.30pm at the Davis (North Bethesda) Library
Introduction to Caregiver Supports in Montgomery County

Saturday November 9, 10am-12noon at the Jane Lawton Community Recreation Center
Caring for Our Aging Parents and Ourselves: A Workshop for Adult Children. Facilitated by Paula Stone.

Thursday November 14, 2.30pm-4.30pm at the Bethesda Regional Service Center
Caregiver Mindfulness Workshop with Meditation and Resource Sharing

Wednesday November 20, 1.30pm-3.30pm at the Olney Library
Prevent Your Loved One From Wandering, and connect with County caregiver supports. Special guest from the County Police IDD "Lifesaver Program". Learn how to prevent a loved one from wandering and be prepared if it happens.

Friday November 22, 2.30pm-4.30pm at the Silver Spring Library
DEMENTIA Live, an immersive safe simulation that allows caregivers to experience what it is like to have dementia

Tuesday November 26, 5.30pm-7.30pm at the White Oak Community Library
Thanksgiving for our Caregivers - featuring supports and relaxing meditation
